I’m running the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon on April 23, 2023 for a cause extremely important to me: strengthening access to lifesaving cancer care and research in Brooklyn.
As part of Team NYU Langone, I’m fundraising to help expand programs that will transform outcomes for individuals and families affected by cancer. Every contribution counts in our efforts to build a healthier Brooklyn for all. 100% of funds raised go to NYU Langone's Perlmutter Cancer Center.
Cancer care and research is incredibly important and has been part of my life both professionally and personally. I started my career as a Clinical Practice Assistant in the breast oncology and chemo clinic at Sloan Kettering from 2010 to 2015.
I’m running this year for every patient and their family members who pass through NYU Langone every day dealing with this disease. I’m running for all of the people in my life that have been affected by cancer and lost loved ones along the way. For my best friend, my mother and most especially my strong and brave nephew Steven- 6 years cancer free!
