For the past decade, NYU Langone’s Pediatric Gastroenterology Division at the Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital has provided me with the most exceptional care. Their dedication has made living with gastro conditions bearable. I raised $8,269 in January 2021 with the support of my family and friends to contribute to the development of the educational component of the NYU Langone’s Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Center.
I admire the selflessness of all healthcare professionals, especially as demonstrated during the Covid-19 pandemic. Their care is both compassionate and comforting. I want to continue raising funds to advance the educational component of the IBD Center.
To this end, I designed organic cotton pouches and pencil cases that have been hand-block printed using vegetable dyes. The swirls represent a colon. I engaged a women-led non-profit enterprise, Dhonk Crafts, based in Rajasthan, India to bring my vision to reality. Dhonk and I have a common goal – to help our most proximate communities. More details can be found on my website https://www.awarenesswithaamri.com/.
This request is two fold: each purchase of your desired amount will allow me to donate a pouch and pencil case to the nurses at NYU Langone while the monies raised will be donated to the IBD center. If you would be so kind as to make a purchase, it would make my wish to give back come true!
