Video Interaction Project is an individualized parenting intervention program that takes place at pediatric checkups during the critical early childhood period from 0-5. I developed VIP to support all families, and prevent parenting challenges before they emerge. The use of video recording and immediate feedback from a parenting coach during every VIP session is what sets VIP apart. VIP builds on parents’ strengths and supports them in reaching their individual goals. My NIH-funded studies have shown large impacts for parents and children, including increases in positive parent-child interactions and decreases in parenting stress. We seek to bring VIP to 50,000 children across the US in the next 5 years, and each dollar donated brings us closer to that goal.
