Welcome to My Personal Page
Well, it’s that time of year when I try a new challenge. As many of you know, I have done a wide range of bike races starting off with Race Across America (RAAM) in 2014 on an 8-person team. We followed that with RAAM 2015 as a 4-person team. Last year, my good friend Jessica and I competed in Race Across the East (RAE) as a 2-person team. In each of these races we were lucky enough to win our division which was more of a testament to my ability to team up with the right athletes rather than my personal performance.
This year I’m going to challenge myself and race RAE solo to see if I’m up to the task. RAE starts on June 18th outside of Cincinnati and ends in Atlantic City – 630 miles and 36 ,000+ feet of climbing later. The race is running time from when I start to when I finish, and I have a time limit of 63 hours. I plan / think / hope I can finish in that time frame, either way I will give it my all.
Last year Jessica and I supported Cycle for Survival / Memorial Sloan Kettering and raised a remarkable $17,000. We both really appreciated all of the support we received. This year I’m raising money for the NYU Langone Perlmutter Cancer Center. During the pandemic, my wife Cathy was diagnosed with breast cancer and received outstanding care at Perlmutter. Cathy is now cancer free and has no cancer concerns other than her scary regular check-ups. We’re very grateful to have gotten through this difficult time and give a lot of credit to the doctors and staff at Perlmutter.
Cathy beat cancer butthere is still a lot of work to be done to find a cure. Whatever you can give is greatly appreciated, every little bit helps. Thanks in advance for your support.

PS. I also want to acknowledge and thank my support crew of Eneas Freyre (my coach), John Holmes and Kenny Collins. I literally could not do this without their help. Thanks guys!
