The Gabrielle Gold-von Simson, MD "Three Plus One" Scholarship will honor Dr. Gold-von Simson's remarkable legacy by supporting NYU Grossman School of Medicine students during their Plus One year in an approved dual degree program. This additional year of study allows students in NYU Grossman's accelerated Three-Year MD pathway to pursue advanced research and master's-level training while preparing for careers that unite clinical medicine with innovation. These students perform meaningful clinical and scholarly work that is not currently being funded by the tuition-free scholarship program at NYU Grossman.
Every student who receives this scholarship will carry a piece of Gabrielle forward. She spent her career showing students that medicine and discovery aren't separate paths and that the best physicians are often the ones brave enough to build something new. Each recipient will do the same: taking on ambitious ideas, pushing them toward real impact, and in doing so, becoming part of the legacy Gabrielle spent her life building.
