Dr. Cukor was also a devoted mentor and colleague who inspired students, trainees, and healthcare professionals through his compassion, intellectual rigor, and unwavering commitment to patient well-being. His contributions have had a lasting impact on the fields of psychology and nephrology, and his legacy continues to influence the care of patients with chronic kidney disease. Unfortunately, Daniel was taken from us too soon, but we hope to stimulate others to carry on his important work.

The Daniel Cukor, PhD Annual Lecture on the Psychosocial Complications of Chronic Kidney Disease will be established to honor Dr Cukor’s life and legacy, his pioneering work, and his enduring dedication to advancing holistic, patient-centered kidney care.
