This November, I’ll be running the NYC Marathon to raise money for FACES — Finding A Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures at NYU Langone Health, a cause that is deeply personal to me.
My brother Conner was diagnosed with epilepsy his freshman year of high school. Countless seizures later, he continues to be an example to everyone around him in the way he carries himself and refuses to let his diagnosis define him. Watching him navigate life with such strength and grace has been one of the greatest inspirations in my life. Last year, my sister and I ran together in his honor, and this year I’m back — more motivated than ever to help find a cure.
