For those who know me well, running is definitely not my passion. But this year, I’m lacing up my shoes for something I am passionate about—a cause much bigger than myself. I am running the UHC Half Marathon in support of the FACES Foundation, in honor of the patients and families my staff and I serve every day.

As the Nurse Manager of an inpatient epilepsy unit, I witness firsthand the resilience it takes to live with epilepsy and how vital the FACES Foundation is to our patients’ lives. This run is my way of honoring my patients while helping advance care and hope within the epilepsy community.
