I am thrilled to be running my third 2026 NYC Marathon as part of TeamFACES!!
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and the Director of Adult Epilepsy Surgery.
I see firsthand the work that FACES does to support our patients. As just one example, many of my patients who undergo surgery come from far outside of the city to receive their care, and their loved ones need a place to stay during their hospital stay - which for certain types of epilepsy surgery can be weeks at a time. FACES supports our patients' caregivers and loved ones by providing rooms in the city for this time.
This organization does this and so much more, from scholarships for our awesome patients who have overcome so much, to supporting research to better understand and treat this condition. Especially at a time when funding for research and scholarship is increasingly difficult to secure, FACES makes a huge difference.
It is a privilege to know and help care for our patients at NYU, and similarly a privilege to run such an inspiring race for this awesome cause each year. By supporting FACES, and with the help of your donation, I know we can help ease the burden of living with epilepsy and look toward a brighter future!
