Rise Up is a program that each summer brings students from several highly diverse Brooklyn high schools to NYU Langone Medical Center for a four week immersion in medicine and biomedical research. The goal is to educate young scholars on career paths in biomedicine so that they can tailor their educational journeys on a path that will lead them in that direction. They acquire long term mentoring from the MD/PhD students who participate in their summer immersion.
