Thank you for your support!
I’m running the New York City Marathon on November 2nd, my first marathon ever, as a proud member of Team FACES.
FACES (Finding a Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures) supports groundbreaking research and essential services for individuals and families affected by epilepsy. Over 2 million Americans live with this chronic, often invisible condition. There is no cure yet, but through FACES, we can get closer. The dollars our team will raise enable researchers at NYU Langone’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Center to explore pioneering treatments, like targeted drug delivery to the brain and advanced surgical techniques. It also supports patients and caregivers through scholarships, educational events, community programs, and direct care.
For those of you who know me, know that this cause is personal for me. Over the past few years, I’ve seen firsthand how epilepsy impacts lives. Even when managed well, seizures and medications take a toll -- the uncertainty, the side effects, and the deep disconnect that can form between a person and their body. Epilepsy is not just a medical condition; it alters and reshapes lives. That’s why I’m running with Team FACES.
At a time when funding for crucial research is being haphazardly cut around the country, it’s more important than ever to support this kind of work. Every dollar raised helps improve quality of life today and bring us closer to new treatments for epilepsy tomorrow.
Whether you can contribute financially, send a message of encouragement as I train, share running playlist suggestions, or cheer me on at the finish line, I’m deeply grateful for your support. Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
