My sister Kathryn is the strongest person I know. She has lived with epilepsy for most of her life, and every day she faces challenges that most of us can't even imagine. From seizures that steal her peace to the medications that wear her down, she keeps pushing forward with courage and resilience. Watching her go through so much - yet still show up with kindness, strength, and hope- has been inspiring. I am raising funds and running the NYC Marathon not only for research, but for a cure- so people like Kathryn can live freely, without fear.
