I'm back again running the 2024 NYC Marathon for the same reason I ran last year - to support my dear friend Anna, and all those affected by epilepsy.
The challenge of properly diagnosing and medicating her epilepsy opened my eyes to the unique challenge of treating and curing it. Years of trying different medications with the overarching fear that a seizure could come at the worst time is something nobody should live with. Thankfully, the expert team at NYU Langone Health has helped her eliminate most of that fear and allowed her to live her life more fully. Because of that, I hope to help others do the same by supporting and contributing their important, life-changing research.
